The co-host of the South Asian Excellence at the Oscars for two years in a row, Anjula Acharia made a lasting impression by bringing the immensely talented South Asians creating ripples in Indian and world cinema under one roof to celebrate and cheer them on before the big night. She hosted the event alongside the global sensation, Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Not only did the duo enthral the guests with their moving speeches about the path-breaking contribution of the South Asian talent, but also with their ensembles for the evening that were crafted by global luxury designers FALGUNI SHANE PEACOCK.
The celebrity manager, philanthropist and angel investor, Anjula Acharia was a sight to witness in the creations of FALGUNI SHANE PEACOCK. Acharia was seen channelling her inner diva in a moonlight jade, sheer saree. The pre-draped saree was embellished with Swarovski stones, crystals and sequins and paired with a similar hued, shimmering, bralette-style blouse.
Acharia is widely known for her love for fashion and style. She is mostly seen keeping it on the lines of chic, edgy and contemporary, but also admittedly has fallen in love with Indian wear – all thanks to FALGUNI SHANE PEACOCK. The designers, who are also Acharia’s close friends, understood the assignment of the special said eve. Thus, when designing the ensemble for Acharia, they added their bits of expertise, marking a fresh take on traditionally celebrated saree.
International-renowned couture designers FALGUNI SHANE PEACOCK are the master creators. They hold a celebratory reputation for distinctive detailing, unique silhouettes, seasonless hues—and we could see the iconic moonlight jade, sheer saree reflect every bit of that. The saree had a true red carpet vibe and we could definitely see Acharia flaunting it like one.
To complete the look Acharia opted for a minimal makeup look with smokey eyes, open hair and statement jewellery. The South Asian Excellence at the Oscars party was attended by several other well-known personalities from the industries.
