Sculpted breathtakingly in ivory marble boulders, Taj Mahal has narrated a tale of love for almost three centuries. The mausoleum came to be known as an architectural marvel, due to which it became one of the most frequently visited wonders of the world. The monument is a spectacle inspired by Mughal, Turkish, Ottoman, and Persian architectural styles. The majestic appeal and symbolism of the monument turned into a gripping inspiration for the luxury couture label, Falguni Shane Peacock.
Blazing, long trail Lehengas, crystal veils, and dramatic makeup, the showcasing of the collection ‘Love is,’ at FDCI’s India Couture Week 2021 conveyed the timelessness in Indian couture. The collection, shot at the transom of the magnificent Taj Mahal, entailed lines of ethereally encrusted Lehengas styled contemporarily with statement accessories and add-ons. The collection was also shot at the picturesque Mehtab Bagh. In the picture, a stunning scarlet Indian Lehenga is showcased with an elaborate trail. The Lehenga is encrusted with stones and beads and is teamed with a full-sleeved blouse and a feathered shrug.
In another shot taken at the Mehtab Bagh, a bubble gum pink Indian Lehenga deluged with intricate geometric details is shown. The Lehenga is handcrafted with beads, sequins, and Swarovski stones. The Indian Lehenga is teamed with a cropped corset blouse detailed with tassels and a bejeweled cape. The cape is adorned with feathers at the helm.
Borrowing from the beauty of the monument, the Kurta is created in the soft hue of dusty rose-pink based ivory Kurta set. The Kurta features flared sleeves detailed with feathers. The ensemble is highlighted with ethnic elephant and foliage motifs and a tulle Dupatta with scallop-bordered hem. The look is paired with a pair of exquisite Jhumka earrings, choker-style neckpiece, and a Maang Teeka.
